The Ultimate 2025 Offer/Discount Testing Playbook
Your offer is 80% of your success during BFCM.

What an offer really is?
An offer is NOT just your product with a discount slapped on it. It's a complete package that determines whether your BFCM campaign succeeds or fails.
The hard truth: You can mess up your targeting, creative, and copy, but if your offer is strong enough, your campaign can still work. The inverse is never true. No amount of perfect ads will save a weak offer.
Use Alex Hormozi’s offer framework as an example…

Every winning offer must maximize these four components:
↑ Maximize These:
Dream Outcome - The transformation your customer wants
Perceived Likelihood of Achievement - How much they believe you'll deliver
↓ Minimize These:
Time Delay - How long until they get results
Effort & Sacrifice - How hard it is for them to succeed
BFCM offer strategy checklist
1. Differentiate Your Core Product
Pick at least ONE of these (more is better):
Better Dream Outcome: Does your product achieve the end result better than competitors?
Higher Success Rate: Can you prove it works more reliably?
Faster Results: Do customers get their transformation quicker?
Less Effort: Is your solution easier to use or implement?
Example: Don't just sell skincare, sell "clear skin in 30 days with a 3-step routine" (faster + easier).
2. Add a Guarantee (It’s massively underutilized, especially when your product is good)
Money-Back Guarantee: "Love it or get 100% refund within 90 days"
Outcome Guarantee: "Get results in 30 days or we'll refund you"
Performance Guarantee: "This will last 5 years or we'll replace it free"
Delivery Guarantee: "Arrives before Christmas or it's free"
Beat-the-Competition: "Love our product or we'll refund you AND buy you a competitor's"
Pro tip: If you're scared to offer a guarantee, that's a signal to fix your product first.
3. Scarcity & Urgency (Yep!)
Scarcity = Limited quantity
"Only 500 units available at this price"
"First 100 customers only"
"Limited holiday inventory—selling out fast"
Urgency = Time-based deadline
"Sale ends Monday at midnight"
"48-hour flash sale"
"Black Friday pricing expires in 6 hours"
Both work by making customers think: "If I don't buy NOW, I'll have to pay more or work harder to find an alternative later."
BFCM Timing Structure:
Early Bird (Nov 20-23): Reward email subscribers, 20-25% off
Black Friday (Nov 24): Best deal, 30-40% off + bonus
Cyber Monday (Nov 27): Flash sale, different offer angle
Extended (Nov 28-30): "Last chance" messaging
4. Reviews & Proof
Reviews & Ratings: Display your Trust Pilot score, Google reviews, or star ratings prominently
Testimonials: Video testimonials crush text—show real customers with real results
Social Proof Numbers: "Trusted by 50,000+ customers" or "12,000+ 5-star reviews"
Accreditations: Certifications, awards, "As Seen In" media logos
Big Names: "Used by [famous person/brand]" if applicable
UGC Content: Real customer photos and videos
Pro tip: If you don't have established brand power yet, you NEED proof front and center. Established brands can lean on recognition, you can't.

Common BFCM Offer Mistakes to Avoid
❌ Just slapping on a discount without differentiation, guarantees, or urgency
❌ Overcomplicating the funnel with 9-step sequences (keep it simple!!)
❌ No scarcity or urgency (people will say "I'll come back later" and forget)
❌ Weak or missing guarantees (especially in skeptical industries)
❌ No proof elements (testimonials, reviews, trust indicators)
❌ Same offer as competitors (why would anyone choose you?)
❌ Forgetting mobile experience (most BFCM shopping happens on mobile)
Remember
Your offer is 80% of your success during BFCM. Perfect ads with a mediocre offer will fail. Good-enough ads with an incredible offer will win.
Don't just compete on price, compete on value, proof, guarantees, and urgency.
That's how you stand out in the BFCM noise.
